Unit 31 Specialist Location Images and Evaluation

Unit 31 Specialist Location Images and Evaluation

Aim-

My aim is to successful capture this beautiful wedding and to produce a series of images for myself and for my client. I have not been told if there is a theme to the wedding although I have been told that they would like me to capture all three days of the wedding.

I want the images to be different from other photographers. I want to explore everything they do and to capture all their happy or sad moments. If I am successful in this, I will be giving my client a album sized A3.

This is a very big challenge for me as I have never captured a wedding. I want the images to look very good and for the images to be different from other photographers and to hopefully be able to advertise my self and to show my work to other people.

Time-

For all three evening- 17:00 till 00:00

Lighting-

I was told that the event will be indoors and that I will only be going out once the grooms family arrives and when they leave at the end of the evening.

Photo shop-

I have been told my the client that they don't want the images to be edited and that if some do need editing to only do the ones that very badly need doing.

My Cost-

I the follow information will be about the cost I will have to use-

Camera with lens- No Cost
Flash gun Hire- £25
Tripod- £0
Travel for all three days- £20 petrol

Conclusion

The Wedding went really really well. I felt very welcomed, I was able to take as many images as possible. What I had planned was nothing compared to the end result I am very pleased with the images. As this being the first wedding I had ever shoot it was a very good experience and I would like to do this again. I was very very successful.

Future wedding shoots and Problems-

One problem I had was with my flash gun, for some odd reason the flash gun had stoped working on the henna evening towards the end of the evening therefore I was going to find hrd to take the images on the wedding day. But I was able to get hold of another flash gun and complete the wedding. Another thing I had forgot on all three days was a tripod. It would have made my life alot better, although I didnt need one.

If I had to shoot another wedding I wouldnt be nerves at all. I would take a backdrop and some lights just so the couple would get some nice images of then standing infront of the backdrop and having the lights on.
Next time I would always shoot in raw as I wasnt formillor with the raw settings in my camera.
I have selected 25 images for this assignmsnt. Now I am able to show these images to anyone who would like to book me for there special day.

Overall I was very happy with the three days I completed for the wedding.
